Back from Chicago...tired...ready for another entry on the 12 day countdown to TGP.

Day 3 - Goodbye

Goodbye is the title track of The Goodbye Project. The only song on the album that features a doombeck drum and alternate guitar tuning. The song is a response to the question put forth by Forcythia "How do you say goodbye?" Goodbye attempts to answer that question exploring themes of mortality and loss of loved ones. "Are you there, or am I scared? Its one or the other it would seem." Goodbye is a one sided dialogue between the living and the deceased that finds peace and comfort in the knowledge that someone is waiting on the other side of this life. It encourages memorializing and embracing sadness as ways to let go rather than dirt to bury the past away.
