It's Sunny and I'm getting paid...

Unbelievable, simply put. I arrive at school today to see that half the staff is absent including my two most frequent gigs (I am a onsite substitute for you new readers). So I calmly ask Carmen, "which room?" referring to the only two options I really see. I wait, dreading what she might say. "Goodmorning Mr. Round. Rm 309 today."

Room 309 is the sweetest gig in the entire building. Said classroom only hosts one class all day long and its with 18 nice kids that I like working with. I'm Jazzed!!! Simply Jazzed.

Yesterday went well. Finally cleaned my room/office/practice space, met with a very cool singer/songwriter for lunch, hung out with Jon for a bit, had dinner with the roomies Meghan and Nichole (yes they both have a needless/silent "h" in their names), and had some much needed downtime.

With another meeting with a potential collaborator today and a show tomorrow night things are on the up and up!
